 «In questo libro ho voluto evidenziare come si possa modificare un ambiente non solo nella distribuzione degli spazi ma anche nella sua forma.In ogni progetto ho cercato di unire la mia conoscenza alle esigenze dei clienti, così che il risultato finale fosse dovuto tanto alla mia creatività quanto alla loro. La pratica progettuale diventa tanto più interessante quanto più arduo è il confronto con il preesistente.» Architettura non da contemplare ma da vivere, dove lo spazio e l'arredo diventano parte integrante della vita di chi ne fruisce. Ambienti tipicamente anni Settanta nelle forme e nei colori sono stati riprogettati usando forme tipicamente classiche come volte, archi e colonne, e materiali quali la pietra e il cotto reinterpretati in chiave contemporanea, trasformandoli in un esempio di Architettura mediterranea. Ogni progetto, inserito net suo luogo, diventa "unico"; per ognuno di questi il concetto è stato frutto di una ricerca contestuale per cui ogni soluzione architettonica è legata esclusivamente a ciascuno di essi. Ogni progetto ha un'anima che è scatu-rita da un'idea, l'idea viene dallo spazio circondato dalla natura che in questo modo diviene parte integrante di esso. FABRIZIA FREZZA L'amore per l'arte in ogni sua espressione, i viaggi per il mondo e rincontro con culture diverse: sono questi gli elementi che, da sempre, emozionano il mio spirito e, stimolandomi alla conoscenza e alla curiosità, vivificano la mia creatività. Il momento in cui questa creatività ha preso corpo, iniziando a concretizzarsi in grandi e importanti progetti nel campo delle residenze private, dei negozi e degli alberghi, è l'8-8-88, alle 8 di mattina, una data che segnerà tutta la mia vita. Tanto che questi numeri nel 2006 diventano il nome del mio showroom di arredamento - situato a Roma, città in cui vivo e lavoro - dove espongo i frutti della mia ricerca e delle mie progettazioni. Essendo cresciuta girando per gli alberghi di famiglia, il ramo alberghiero è quello che mi è più consono e familiare. E per questo che, nella progettazione e ristrutturazione degli hotel, mi viene spontaneo unire alla razionalizzazione degli spazi e alla fruibilità dei servizi, il comfort e il calore di una "casa" attraverso la caratterizzazione e personalizzazione degli ambienti con materiali, arredi e tessuti scelti, pensati e disegnati per quel luogo e per quel momento. Anche per questo sento sempre il desiderio e la necessità di rinnovarmi e aggiornarmi, traendo spunto da fiere, mostre, rassegne... ma anche dagli incontri e dalla conoscenza di tanti artigiani e artisti, affermati o emergenti, con cui si può lavorare, pensare, inventare e creare.  «In this book I wanted to underline the possibility to change not only the spatial organization, but also the overall design of a piace.In every project I tried to combine my skills with the clients' demands so that the final result is the product of their and my creativity. The process of doing a project gets more interesting it has to stand comparison with a good preexistent model.» Mine is architecture to live, where the space and the furnishings become part of the life of those who use them. Some places with colours and features typical of the 1970s have been redesigned using classical elements such as vaults, arches and columns. Materials like stone and terracotta have been re-interpreted in a contemporary way and have become part of a Mediterranean architecture. A contextual study has been done before every project: the spirit of the project indeed comes from an idea brought by the surround-ingenoronment, which then becomes part of the final result. Each project has been conceived for a particular piace and it is therefore unique. FABRIZIA FREZZA Love for the arts, travels around the world and the acquaintance with diffèrent cultures have always touched me deeply, stimulating my curiosity and encouraging my creativity. The first time that I started to express my creative potential in important projects concerning private houses, stores and hotels, was the 8-8-88: a date that will mark my life. In 2006 these numbers became the name of my design show-room, located in Rome, where I live and work, and where the outcome of my research and my projects are displayed. Since I was born and raised in family hotels, this is the field more familiar to me. Thath's why, when planning and renovating hotels, I find it natural to unite the rationalization of space and the hotel comforts with the warmth of a house. This can be achieved through the personalization of the rooms with materials, furnishings and fabrics expressively designed. For this reason I always feel the need to update my works drawing inspiration from fairs and exhibitions, but also from the acquaintance offamous and emerging craftsmen and artists with whom it is possible to work and create.
