 INTRODUCTIONSometimes tackling the renovation of a building is more complicated than building a new one, not only because of the historic value of the part that must be preserved, but also because of the state of the structure itself since we rarely know what condition it is in before beginning the project. Furthermore, the act of working on an existing building is a challenge for any architect since it means developing adaptive strategies that are very different from those that would be developed for a new construction. The sensitivity of the architect carrying out the renovation is of utmost importance, since he must combine the client's wishes with the realities of the structure. The strategies that he is able to develop within the budget allowed will dictate the final form of the building.  INTRODUZIONETalvolta affrontare la ristrutturazione di un edificio è più complicato che costruirne uno nuovo, non solo per il valore storico della porzione che si intende preservare, ma anche a causa dell'effettivo stato della struttura in sé, poiché di rado se ne conoscono le reali condizioni prima dell'inizio dei lavori. Inoltre, il fatto di lavorare su un edificio esistente rappresenta una sfida per qualunque architetto, poiché comporta il ricorso a strategie di adattamento molto diverse da quelle necessarie per la creazione di un nuovo edificio. Grande importanza riveste la sensibilità dell'architetto che si occupa della ristrutturazione per consentirgli di coniugare i desideri del cliente con le realtà della struttura. Le strategie che sarà in grado di sviluppare nei limiti del bilancio di spesa preventivo risulteranno decisive per l'aspetto finale dell'edificio. |
