INTRODUCTION It all started back in the eighties. The moment Ian Schrager opened the doors of his first hotel, Morgans, in 1984, the hotel industry would never be the same again. Not only would he go down as the father of the notorious Studio 54, but also as the pioneer of a new movement in hotel management and design.
