INVIDEO nasce nel 1990 con un'idea di base forte: dotare Milano di un archivio permanente dedicato all'arte elettronica e alle nuove tecnologie.
Anno dopo anno, grazie a un meticoloso lavoro di ricerca, opera di un team di collaboratori attivi in tutto il mondo, viene acquisito il meglio della produzione artitica italiana ed internazionale, con particolare attenzione a quella europea (video arte, ricerca in elettronica, documentari di sperimentazione). L'archivio - che ha sede presso il Medialogo della Provincia di Milano - contiene diverse centinaia di opere, ed è il più importante del genere in Italia. E' aperto alla libera consultazione pubblica, tutti i giorni della settimana.


The higpoints of recent international video: fifty detailed entries with full credits and criticism on videos from twelve different countries, plus previously unpublished comments by the videomakers themselves. Three essays on three decades of video art. Sections covered: Animation, Electronic Bodies, Imagined Writing, Portraits and Backstage, Territories of Memory, Retrospectives. An exhibition of photographs and two installations. The state of an undisciplined art.

INVIDEO began in 1990 with a strong base concept: to equip Milan with a permanent archive dedicated to the electronic arts and new technologies.
The exhaustive research carried out by the INVIDEO team and its correspondents worldwide has enabled the archive to grow year by year, acquiring the best in artistic production (video art, electronic research, experimental documentaries) both in Italy and internationally, but with a special focus on Europe.
The archive, housed at the Provincie of Milan's Medialogo centre, boasts several hundred works and is the most important of its kind in Italy. It is open to the public for consultation throughout the week.
